Tyler Lockett helped out the surprising 6-0 Kansas State Wildcats by returning a kickoff for a touchdown in the second quarter of the Wildcats victory over Texas Tech last Saturday.

back-to-back 100 yard kickoff returns for touchdowns, the first by State’s Justin Gilbert and the second my Longhorn running back Fozzy Whittaker. The Cowboys completed a statewide sweep of Texas with a 38-26 win. Elsewhere, the electrifying Sammy Watkins of Clemson took a fourth quarter kickoff back 89 yards for a touchdown to give the Tigers a late lead in their 56-45victory over Maryland. Kansas State returner Tyler Lockett went 100 yards to the house in the Wildcats 41-34 win over Texas Tech. The two other players to bring kicks back for touchdowns were Stanford’s Ty Montgomery (96 yards) and New Mexico State’s Taveon Rogers (100 yards).

Washington: The Huskies have been on the rise since the start of the year and find themselves at 5-1 (3-0 Pac-12) and second in the Pac-12 North after beating down Colorado 52-24. Quarterback Keith Price, a sophomore from Compton, CA, has been on top of his game, throwing four touchdowns against CU and 21 touchdowns this season. Suddenly U Dub looks as though they are right in the middle of the Pac-12 race and will not let Oregon and Stanford go untested before the Pac-12 championship game.


Chip Kelly: Although the Ducks defeated Pac-12 South leader Arizona State at home 41-27, Kelly was still not in the mood for shenanigans after the game as a couple of Oregon undergrads soon found out.
