My bracket’s already busted, another classic year for me, so now I’m ‘bout the short guys. Erving “Hit ‘em with this one” Walker is my boy. He’s listed at 5’8”, which has got to be an exaggeration of an inch or two. Like UW’s Isaiah Thomas, Erving provides lightning quick athleticism and high-powered energy for the Gators of the University of Florida.
Recently, Erving Walker has shown that he has true killer instinct, as he has stepped his game up in a major way for the NCAA tournament. Against the daunting UCSB Gauchos, Walker poured in a casual 18 points going 4-6 from triple. A couple days later, he dropped 21 points on UCLA.
The best play of that game was when he rifled his shoulder into Joshua Smith’s balls, and got one to go over the big fella. Why there was no foul called, I don’t know, but there was a whole lot of shoulder to crotch contact. Smith’s nuts vs. Erving’s shoulder – advantage…you already know though.
If I had to make a prediction for Tuesday, I’d say the following: Erving Walker is about to mix Jimmer up like a blender, and make a straight fool out of him. Walker’s got the agility to take #32 to the rack, and dunk on him like it ain’t nothin’ but an ‘E’ thang – a little Dr. Dre reference one time for your mind.

Florida's 5'8" Erving Walker hit this ridiculous shot over UCLA's 300 pound center Josh Smith after lowering his shoulder into Smith's groin.
I am starting to like this Florida team. Yeah, Chandler Parsons is a little pretty boy, but I have to respect his white-guy game, as he is a lanky, unathletic wet ball shooter from three-point range. He can’t dribble and is horrible at defense, which is hella funny. Erving on the other hand, is best ball handler since Sir-Mix-A-Lot and has the ability to go off like no other. The beautiful juxtaposition of the two players never fails to present an interesting contest to the viewer!
